When she first fell ill, she traveled to seek treatment in the city of Nampula, specifically in Marrere, where she was diagnosed with tuberculosis and began her treatment. After some time, she returned to the city of Nacala Porto, where she continued her treatment at the Urban Hospital until she was declared cured.
